Do You Wary Of Using Medicated Anti-Dandruff Shampoo? Try This…

As monsoon is approaching, humidity is rising like nobody’s business. This change in weather makes my scalp more susceptible to dandruff. Dandruff may look small and flaky, but it can spoil happy faces in a matter of minutes. I used to be a bit wary about trying anything medicated on my hair, thinking would it harm my hair? Would it cause irritation to my scalp? What if I use it the wrong way, etc?

However recently through a friend, I got to know about a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo, Selsun Suspension 2.5% that effectively treats dandruff. Since it was recommended by a friend, I thought of giving it a try!

What to know about medicated shampoos?

1. They come with an active ingredient that helps in tackling a specific problem. For example, Selsun Suspension contains Selenium Sulphide (2.5%) which is known for the treatment and
effective control of dandruff.
2. They should be used as per given instructions such as using it twice a week for first 2 weeks and then only if necessary, applying it on the scalp and let it remain for 2-3 mins and finally
rinsing it thoroughly after use.
3. You get what you’re promised., a medicated shampoo will promise and deliver only what it says. Like Selsun is a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo and you can be rest assured that in 2
weeks, you will see a reduction in the dandruff related flakes on your scalp.

Like me, if you too are tired suffering from severe dandruff conditions, it is time for you to start using an anti-dandruff medicated shampoo. A regular use shampoo, not having any anti-dandruff benefits may do a good job at cleansing and conditioning your hair. However, as far as dandruff related scalp troubles are concerned, it is always advisable to use a medicated shampoo with anti-dandruff properties. I personally use Selsun Suspension 2.5% to control my dandruff. It is a medicated product focused on effectively treating and controlling dandruff. Along with treating the root cause of dandruff, it also helps control its reoccurrence. [READ: 9 Most Amazing Everyday Uses Of Tea Tree Oil]

We are wary of anything that says ‘medicated’ as we think medicated products are to be used only if something is severely wrong. But the fact of the matter is – in dandruff, a medicated product should be your first preference! I can tell you that why go to anyone else when a medicated shampoo will give you satisfactory results. [READ: 16 Awesome Benefits Of Aloe Vera Gel For Health, Skin And Hair]

So, don’t fret. Switch to a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo like Selsun and be #BeSelsunSure in dandruff.

A nice informative article, since I have used this would like to add that use normal shampoo before applying Selsun, rinse then apply Selsun and rinse. This is a dermatologist approved method. Would love to read more of your articles.
